Florida Real Estate Market: The Hottest Market In the Country

Florida real estate saw the highest growth among all the metropolitan areas in the country this year. In fact, in a list of areas that had the highest home price appreciation for the past one year (2004-2005), 8 of the top 10 areas were from Florida!

Bradenton (45.6%), Sarasota (36%), W. Palm Beach/Boca Raton/Delray Beach (35.9%) were the top 3 gainers in the country. Other Florida real estate markets in the top 10 included Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood/Pompano Beach (31.8%), Melbourne/Titusville/Palm Bay(29.3%),Orlando(28.7%), Miami/Hialeah(28.4%) and Ocala(27%).(Source: National Association Of Realtors)
